An anilox sleeve is a metal, ceramic, or plastic sleeve that is used in the printing process to transfer ink to the substrate. The anilox sleeve is mounted on a print cylinder and inked before each print stroke. As the print cylinder rotates, the anilox sleeve transfers ink to the substrate, which is then fed through the printing press.
